The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is considering the future of the Samoa Dunes Recreation Area, this is the area otherwise known as the "North Jetty", a popular surf spot on the North Coast. This plan has suggestions of what is to happen to this area over the next decade. Will there be development or will it be managed the same way it always has been? The BLM is giving a 30 day comment and review period of the plan that will end March 20, 1997. The plan is available to the public now at the following address:
